Rev. Dr. Sharon Siegel has more than 30 years as a licensed therapist with a specialty in healing PTSD. She is an EMDR trauma practitioner, and in addition to a private practice in Palm Springs, California, Dr. Siegel simultaneously practiced psychotherapy with mentally impaired, homeless and/or addicted clients for 19 years in South Central Los Angeles, at MLK Hospital and Drew Medical Center. She is the High Priestess of the Goddess Temple of Palm Springs and a very recent Ifa Priest (Yoruba religion) and Iyawo. She is an elder, Oracle, 3rd Degree Reiki Master, and former president, and treasurer, of the Association for Women in Psychology.
Oshunike Onifade
For over 25 years , Yolanda has been a voice and advocate for woman , children , and families who have experienced domestic and sexual violence. Her work has also included community healing , uniting youth and elder voices reflecting on the desire to come together to improve our communities. She was worked nationally to mentor and create pathways for woman of color leadership programs.
Yolanda is currently the Chief Programs Officer for the Front Range Area Education Center (FRAHEC) . Her goal is to create collaborative partnerships that address the social determinants of health within BIPO communities.
Whether her work has been with woman , children , and families experiencing domestic and sexual violence or working with nonprofit agencies and board of directors , as an Omo Oshun , the mission she has accepted is to ensure that staff and services are inclusive of the diversity of the community populations we serve while acknowledging the impact of racism, oppression , and lack of resources that impact ones life on their individual and collective community healing journey.
As someone who believes we deserve a safe , violence – free community , she serves on the Boards of serveral non profit organizations that foster cultural humility , work with marginalized people , and promote healthy , sustainable living.
She desires to see that everyone lives their best life within a mentally healthy , violence – free environment .
